Paperpak membership works like this:
Member companies enter into a contract and pays fees, which enables Paperpak to take over legal responsibility for meeting their packaging waste obligations.
In collaberation with Paperpak, the member gathers the appropriate data and computes obligation. This is verified by Paperpak.
Paperpak registers the member, submits their data and pays all appropriate fees to the Environment Agency (England, Wales & Scotland) or to the NIEA (Northern Ireland).
Paperpak acquires PRNs and/or PERNs as evidence of recovery and recycling obligations for all scheme members.
Paperpak submits to the appropriate Agency a Certificate of Compliance confirming that all the above has been carried out in accordance with the law.
